Pastors David and Rhonda Knox
After serving for several years in church planting missions in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal, Pastors David and Rhonda Knox were called back home to serve as Pastors of GCC. They have a passion to see God's people walking in holiness and the fulness of the Holy Spirit. Though now serving as pastors in the local church, their vision remains open to the harvest fields both here and around the world!
Our Founding Pastors
In 1973, Pastors Leon and Lynda Vernon and about twelve
other denominational Christians received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Through prophecy, the Lord gave a vision to
the group for a church in Grove, Oklahoma. In December of 1976, the present
property was purchased from a 90 year old Christian lady named Lucy Henry.
Lucy had a vision in 1939 that a church would be built on this property
which would touch the World for Jesus. She lived to see her vision partially
fulfilled. On March 21, 1977, the first building was completed after 21
days of construction. Pastor Leon continued to serve faithfully in the church
for 32 years until his passing on May 9, 2006. Though experiencing much
difficulty the last few years, the church has continued to press forward.
As someone recently remarked, "this church has not missed a beat, you can
tell it was surely built on Jesus!" Sister Lynda Vernon continues to serve a
vital role in the church as a Senior Pastor and traveling sharing the prophetic word and song in
many churches both locally and around the world.
